Freebird Airlines was established in June 2000 as a group company of Gözen Holding, one of the leading brands in the aviation sector, known for its experience and reliability. - 2001
In 2001, it began operations with a fleet of 3 MD-83 aircraft. - 2002
In August 2002, Freebird Airlines became the first Turkish airline to be awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by TÜV Rheinland. - 2003-2004-2005
All aircraft in the fleet were renewed with the Airbus A320 series, and new logo and tail designs were applied to the liveries. - 2006
In July 2006, Freebird Airlines became the first Turkish private airline to obtain the IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification awarded by IATA (International Air Transport Association). - 2012
As part of the LPC (Less Paper Cockpit) project, Freebird Airlines became the second operator in Europe to use the EFB 2 system on A320 aircraft. - 2013
