Security Procedures

Before starting your journey, you can contact with the Security Department concerning the adequacy of your travel documents such as passport, national identity card, visa etc. for the country you are going to. It will be for your benefit to submit one copy of your travel document to the Security Department in order to obtain more accurate information related to your questions about travel documents and not to be disadvantaged.

INTERFERENCE ON BOARD AN AIRCRAFT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

Transport May be Denied

Passengers are entitled to travel in a safe and secure environment.Under the Criminal Code of State the Aeronautics act,it is illegal to behave in a manner that is threathing to crew members and passengers.

The crew will not tolerate any disruptive behaviour.

Police will be asked to meet the aircraft upon arrival.

Anyone in contravention of the law,or anyone violating the rights of others,will be intercepted by the police upon landing.That person be:

Arrested / Charged / Prosecuted

Anyone found guilty will have a criminal record any may face fines up to or imprisonment.

Examples of interference:

• Harassment
• Verbal abuse
• Physical assault
• Intimidating behaviour
• Intoxicated and disorderly conduct
• Disregard of smoking regulations
• Consuming ‘carry on’ alcoholic beverages
• Refusal to follow instruction of the crew
• Endangering the safety of the aircraft

Safe Advice For Everyone

As of 20 April 2009, the liquid, aerosol and gels in hand baggage will be restricted.

Liquid restrictions are not only applied in our country, therefore it is important to comply with this application so as not to have trouble in the arrival or transit airports.

Liquid, aerosol, gel in hand baggage is not forbidden with this new security application; however, the allowed amount is restricted. The products you buy from Duty-free shops are exempted from the restrictions provided that the package is not opened.

What are included in the restriction?

All kinds of liquid including water, syrup, drink;

All kinds of cosmetics including cream, lotion, oils (including cosmetic oils), perfumes, mascara (excluding the lipstick in solid form);

Shaving foams, deodorants;

All substances in the form of paste including toothpaste;

Food such as jam, honey, yoghurt, molasses and sauce;

Contact lens liquid;

Shampoos;

Other substances similar to the ones listed above.

I Have a Special Condition, are there any exceptions?

Medicines (provided that they are prescribed on the name of the passenger or a health report / document stating that the passenger should use such medicines is presented and such medicine is kept in its original package);

Baby food (provided that the baby is also travelling on board and up to the amount required during the flight);

Security officers may ask you to document the exceptional case or may make you taste the medicine / baby food / liquid at the check point.

What and How Can I Carry in Check-in Baggage?

Liquid restriciton is not applied in your check-in baggage. You can carry any liquid except for the ones restricted by the airline company and Customs legislation in your baggage you deliver while taking your boarding card.

Products I Buy From Duty-Free Shop / aircraft?

The products you buy from duty-free shop or during the flight will be placed in a special bag together with the invoice and the bag will be sealed. This bag will be allowed on board only after the bag and the invoice are checked at the security check point. If you will go to final destination point by making a transit through another airport, you should not open the special duty-free shopping bag given in the shop or on board until the final destination airport son. Otherwise, the content of the bag may be seized in transit airport. If you have hesitation, please contact with your airline company and travel agency before your flight. And help the security officers and airline company staff in the airport.
